Dr. Emily Suzanne Johnson (she/her) is the director of the Muncie LGBTQ+ History Project. She is an Assistant Professor of History at Ball State University, where she teaches classes in U.S. history and Women’s and Gender Studies. Her research focuses on gender, sexuality, religion, and politics in the twentieth-century United States. Originally from western Canada, she has made her home in Muncie since 2017.
